TB is the most mortality infection worldwide caused by a single microorganism. Nowadays, a third of humanity (2000 million people) is already infected. Yearly 3 million people die and 8 million become infected.
The RUTI® vaccine is made of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis fragmented in small particles and detoxified to eliminate the toxic substances the bacillus produces. The RUTI® vaccine will allow to treat TB infected people that have not yet developed the illness; it will also reduce the current treatment period from nine months to one. |
